Farpsyched: The Doorway Effect | 2021 | Typography, Illustration
As designers, we need to educate people about more than just design. Hence, during my time at Sparklin, we folks decided to start a series, Farpsyched, where we decode psychological concepts for laymen and inform them about what goes on inside their heads when something happens subconsciously, in turn making them more aware of their actions.
The first one is The Doorway Effect — a feeling of going to another room with a very strong aim in mind and immediately forgetting why one decided to go there.
The banner image below gives a hint of what one is about to read. The font used throughout is Droid as a display font and Domine as body text. The two fonts create a good contrast while adding character to the message we want to portray.
Note: This was uploaded as a thread on Twitter, carousal posts on Instagram and LinkedIn, and a blog on Medium.
